To become an ACMSA member you must first become a CMSA member*

ACMSA is an affiliate CMSA club. All ACMSA shoots are run in accordance with CMSA rules. Shoots are class based competitions where a shooter will compete against other shooters at their level. Shooters will run selected ‘courses’ on horseback and shoot balloon targets with modern replicas of single action colt .045 1873 revolvers.

Classes are broken into levels 1 through 6 and are split by gender and age. Competitors over 50 may choose to compete in the Senior Division; competitors under 12 must compete at one of the two Wrangler levels (Wranglers do not ‘shoot’ from horseback).

All new CMSA members/shooters will start as a Level 1. Progression to higher levels is based solely on wins.

Competitors are welcome to use any breed of horse, registered or not.

*For CMSA membership, rules, and other information, you may visit the CMSA website at cmsaevents.com
